I have uploaded some picture files of the baptisms at Matrice Gozo and noticed that there is a counter at the bottom of the page which rapidly moved up to 21 per cent. Is there a limit on the size of this folder ? should I have reduced the size of these images ? I did not want to do this as it may be necessary for some to magnify the pictures to read the names. Is there a better way of making these pages available to members ?

Visited the Gozo archives recently and made some copies of pages from the Baptisms at Matrice and St. George. i had very little time so did not do many but will upload to the files what I have in case they are of assistance to some members. My apologies for the quality of the images and the fact that some of the pages are not complete.

Je n'ai pas trouvé de ville ou village s'appelant
Le maitre, ou le mestre près de Montélimar.
Par contre, il y a en Ardèche Lamastre qui pourrait
rapprocher. Je vais voir si je trouve de vieilles appelations.

Chers Amis,
J'ai pu remonter - grace a l'aide precieuse de ma cousine Michelle Farrugia - jusqu'a BORG Giovanni ne a Birkirkara, Malte (Date inconnue)x AQUILINA Evangelista le 13/01/1771 a Zebbug, Malte (date de deces inconnue)et parents introuvable !
ANY CLUE ? comme on dit en Anglais ... tous les indices et conseils sont bienvenus

Berto = Bartolomeo ?

Hello, I am new to the list and could really use some help with a location. I am researching the families of Nicola Pisani and Maria Chapoutier or Charpentier, who married some time before 1834. Maria Chapoutier/Charpentier's Maltese death record lists her place of birth as Le Maittre, France; but I can find no such place. Does anybody have any idea where this might be? Family tradition has it that she was born in Montlimar and met Nicola when she went to Marseilles, but I can find no record of her in either place.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Re bonsoir,
Je connais deux FARRUGIA qui n'ont aucun lien de parenté avec moi. Comme
moi, ils sont de Tunis, fils de maltais, petit fils de Maltais, etc, etc. Si
FARRUGIA a des consonnances italiennes, c'est parce qu'un prêtre à
certainement voulu christianiser un nom qui à l'origine vient de Farrug
(jeune coq en arabe). Mais les Farrugia italiens étaient certainement
maltais avant d'être italiens  )
