I'm researching my family in Cospicua - my great grandfather Salvatore Mifsud was baptized in Cospicua between 1864 and 1878 - which I found on your data base and his parent Giovanni and Giuseppa Ellul married with the same date range 1864 to 1882.

Unfortunately when I asked the church - the volunteer advised me they had no such records

So I have to questions:-
1. what is the basis of your records?
2. How can I guide her to the correct records in Bormal to be able to see the actual records and find more information?

Hello,

The data (the baptism and the marriage) took place in Qormi, not in Cospicua.
So it's normal that the Cospicua / Bormla parish don't have them.

For the two records we have only indexes, not the original records.
So if you want more details you have to ask for a certificate to the Qormi parish.
You can also (and I think it's the best thing to do) ask the public office for a civil certificate (since the two events happen after 1863) that will have more details.
