Dear Carol,
Vittoriosa has the Benedictine Monastery of St. Scholastica, the
former hospital of the Knights of St. John. In 1679 the church and
part of the monastery were built again, and the church was
consecrated by bishop labini on the 29 September 1788. I don't know
is the convent was cloistered around 1880. The relics of the martyr,
St. Veneranda, brought from Rome in 1728, are venerated in the
church. The Priest in charge is the Rev Can Paul Raggio. Ciao!
