I have a mystery !

On the notary database there e is a CM ndated 24.11.1602 for
Benedetto Mamo son of Mario and Caterina to Madalena Balzan- the
couple married 11.01.1603.

there is another CM for the same Benedetto 08.12.1604 to Enziona
Schembri- no marriage listed on Adami.

Logical conclusion is that Maddalena died and then Benedetto married
Enziona.

However there appears to be the will of Benedetto 23.09.1649 which
mentions Madalena Balzan.

Is the will available to be seen in the archives in Malta ?

With the help of Josyanne and Christiane I think I have solved this mystery

Benedetto Married Madalena and the had a son Giovanni. and it is this

son who is made the sole heir when Benedetto died in 1649, hence the

mention of his first wife.

Still a few more loose ends to tie up.
