[Malte] Ancestor: Angelo Parigi 1821
#1
My ancestor was the first recorded Maltese to immigrate to New Zealand around 1840s. Angelo Parigi (In NZ it was spelled Paragee due to English translation errors). Born Tarxien, Malta. June 1821.
However, I have found no records of his baptism or parents' marriage in Malta. I'd like to find anything.
His father was Giovanni or - Johannes/Ioannes Parigino (Possibly Paragino). Born: Tarxien, 1783. Mother: Catherine Parnis.
Thank you

Hello,

Try with PAREGIN and you will found what you search.

The father of Giovanni PAREGINI seems to be the first one in Malta to have this name.
I supposed his parents are italians.

Thank you! I found some records once I typed PAREGIN. Once I widened the scroll bar, I see that the database shows the surname as 'Paregin/Parigin/Paragino' with information that matches haha.
