Hi Ed,
ISO means International Standard Organisation. The norm ISO 8601 defines
international common formats for hours and days. For example : 28 march
2011 has to be written : '2011-03-28'
In the notary file the dates are written in the two modes :
Date : DD-MM-YYYY in English or JJ-MM-AAAA in French
Date ISO : YYYY-MM-DD in English or AAAA-MM-JJ in French
The 2 columns give exactly the same information.
