My last message seemed to translate strangely when I posted, so I will try again!
My grandfather who was born in Vittoriosa in 1884, had a sister who was born shortly before or after him. Because his mother died when they were young (perhaps during childbirth), the sister was apparently sent off to live in a cloistered convent. He never had any contact with her after that. She has always been a mystery in the family.. we don't even know her name. Was there more than one convent like this at that time?
And does anyone know if it is possible to get any information about the girls who entered and lived there?
