[Malte] Maltese in Egypt

Hello,
I would love to know more about the Maltese who lived in Egypt, mainly at the Suez Canal. My grandmother lived in Egypt all her life. Her parents moved to Egypt around 1895. I will be going to Malta in mid-April. Maybe there is a book I can buy?
