Hi, I tried the malta government certificates website but they are failing to honor my request as i do not have the exact marriage date.
Truly my request is to get more feel of who the parents are for my grandparents. Is there any other way I can get through?
I was able to find out info like this through another route, e.g. my great great grandmother, who was Maltese, married an Irishman (= British with the authorities at that time) in 1868. Through Find my past, I located the approximate year and page/line number reference to this marriage - though name Scerri was spelt Terry! - which allowed me to apply to the General Register Office for their marriage certificate, which showed the date. Thence to Maltese Registry for Maltese certificate. Success!
Maybe there is a way around for you too, a different one. Or can you read the original Latin entry in the Maltese Archive? If you know the names, and the parish, you might be able to trawl the year or years when they married.
