Je me glisse dans votre conversation, car j'ai
aussi des SOLTANA, devenu SULTANA au cours des siècles dans ma généalogie
(collumeau). Contrairement au SAYD, il ne sont pas issu d'un sultan mais d'un
émir de Karaman (voir la copie transcrite du texte qui suit, le même en anglais
et la référence à un texte de Maltagenealogy.

SOLIMANO BIN MUSA, de Turquie (1507-1559), un esclave de plusieurs Grands
maîtres de l'Ile de Rhodes et à Malte sous le Grand Maître de Homèdes
(Espagnol)avec grande diligence était libéré en 1539 à la condition qu'il doive
servir encore six années. Lors de sa libération, le Grand Maître lui a accordé
quelque terres in Zaghra, Gozo pour services rendus, marié en 1540 avec Mustafa,
une ex esclave de Turquie. Ils devinrent chrétiens par le baptême. Soliman est
le plus jeune fils d'un émir ou d'un bey de Karaman, Turquie.
