I just joined today and hope to find information about my ancestors. My grandfather was born in Malta in 1884 and his mother's name was Carmela Cachia (daughter of Salvatore Cachia). I have not been able to find any more information about her family. Any ideas where to start?

Well the tricky thing is, she was actually born in Cefalonia, Greece. But I am pretty sure they had relatives in Malta, possibly in Sliema. Apparently she died shortly after my grandfather was born so would I be able to get a death certificate from that site even if I do not know the date of death?

do you know that in London they have records of all the british consulate in the world it was Kew Garden before but donot know the ad now
