[Malte] Chiaramonte Family in Malta 17th century and before

My 7xGreat Grand mother is Grazia Abela nee Chiaramonte. Married Giovanni Abela

in 22/08/1688 in or around Zurrieq. Grazia's father is Pietro Chiaramonte and

Mothers name was Domenica.

I have checked the Adami records and cannot find any Chiaramonte at all apart

from the above.

I would really appreciate if someone new where to find information on

Chiaramonte in malta....i presume after the rebellion in Malta late 14th century

the family was either captive of the new rulers, displaced had their properties

confiscated...and is always in history...it is the Victor who records the

history...and as been seen...sometime alot of effort goes into removing the

history of a family that may at the time was not on good terms with the new

rulers. My thoughts.

Any way if you have any information I would greatly appreciate it.
