I am searching for the birth records for Gregorius CALLUS and Maruzza or Marietta FARRUGIA who married 18 Sept 1688 in Zurrieq. I have found their marriage record in Archdiocese Malta Archives but the record is virtually unreadable. I think Gregorius may be the son of Josephi Callus of Casal Crendi. I cannot find any baptism for him in the Zurrieq register though and wondered if there might be a separate register for Crendi between about 1640 - 1670.

Maruzza Farrugia's parents are also very very hard to decipher. Father appears to be written as ? Lo/Jo Dci§ a (Dominco? or Joseph Domenico?)Farrugia and a name beginning with G ? for the mother? I think they are from Zurrieq.

Any help would be much appreciated.

I am wondering if anyone can help.

I am looking for a Vincenzo Pons.

He married a Rosa Maria Antonia Emmanuella Cucciardi 9 Jan 1859 in Cospicua.

Rosa was chr. 24 Aug 1842 in Cospicua and I have researched her line, but I am stuck on the Pons line.

I know that Vincenzo's father was William (Guglielma)Pons or Bonz and his mother was Maria Paula Catherina Azzopardi b. 1799 Zurrieq, from their marriage record and that this couple had three sons, Vincenzo (as above), Antonio and Giovanni (I think I have this from the census, but no birth place or dates)

William and Maria were married 12 Feb 1820 in Valletta.

From William and Maria's marriage record, I know that William Pons/Bonz's parents were William and Antonia Figliolante.

And that is as far as I can get in Malta.

I know that Pons/Bonz is not a Maltese name and that this family probably came from elsewhere. Figliolante sounds Italian to me but I am not sure.

As I can find no chr. For William, I assume that he was the first to come to Malta and marry Maria Azzopardi, he was in the Military.

I am looking mainly for the chr of their three sons, Vincenzo, Antonio and Giovanni.

But if anyone has any comments regarding the Pons/Bonz name or where Figliolante comes from, I would love to hear it and see if I can continue my research on this family.

Le mariage de Domenico CACHIA & Antonia AGIUS mentionné le 19/10/1621 à Zejtjun sur Genanum ne figure pas dans les archives en ligne ' Mar. II 1606 1679 Vue 26 ', problème de date ou de lieu le premier des enfants connus Martino s'est marié en 1647 , je n'ai pas trouvé de CM;

Quelqu'un a t il des informations sur ce couple ? je descends de leur fille Maruzza XAndrea BRIFFA le 29/03/1658 à Zejtun 'Mar. II 1606 1679 Vue 92 '

michelio AGAT et de Anna FAROUDJA (parents inscrits ainsi
dans son acte de décès).

Q1: est -il réellement maltais ? Mais le nom AGAT n'existe
pas à Malte.

Q2 : il avait
le surnom de abdrackman mameluck et était à l'armée française,il
est arrivé

à Constantine Algérie le 24 janvier 1838 classé parmi
les indigènes algériens donc il connaissais l'arabe ?

Q3 : mon
arr arr grd mère Anna faroudja mais dans notre famille on
prononce farugia ?

Q4: mon arr
grd père a rectifié son nom , est ce suite à la véritable
découverte de filiation ,

car il est
devenu appelé ENDREGAT Mamelouk entre 1890 ET 1891 à Constantine,
nom qui existe beaucoup plus en Allemagne ?! en espérant une
orientation positive de votre part ,
