My great grandmother, Giuseppa Camilleri married Giovanni Farrugia.

I have no dates for this marriage, and the people I am looking for are from my grandmother's birth certificate. As my grandmother was born in 1892, she must have been born sometime around 1855-1865?? in Algiers. When she arrived in Malta, her parentage and her marriage details are a mystery.

The only information that I have is on my grandmother's birth and marriage certificates.

According to her birth certificate, her name was Carmela Farrugia. She was born in Qrendi,16th July 1892 daughter of John Farrugia, Qrendi and Josephine Camilleri, Algiers (who happen to be my mystery).

Her marriage certificate gives her name as Mary Carmen Farrugia married 6th May 1917 in Qrendi, occupation farmer, age 25, born Qrendi, married Joseph Cachia, carpenter, age 27.

I appreciate any help that you can give me.

I have looked at the site but as I don't understand French, I am finding it hard to make out what it means. They may have married in Algiers, I just assumed it was in Malta. Can you give me the information in English, please. Does it have the birthdates of the couple?

Thank you for the translation. This might just be the family I am looking for. The dates look right.

Jean Farrugia would have been 29 when he married Josephine who was 20 and Josephine having my grandmother at 36 is not too old. How to know that these are the right people? Does anyone know when Jean and Josephine travelled to Malta as this is where my grandmother was born.

When did Jean go to Algiers? So many questions, and any help is always appreciated.
