Trapani

Hello and thank you for adding me to the group.

I
have been trying to find my husband’s family in Malta. The surname I am researching
is Trapani. I have obtained a lot of information from Port Salvo Church
in Valletta but have come to a complete stop on his Great great Grandfather
Biagio (Blaise)Trapani. I have him possibly born between 1800 to 1830 He died
before 1880. He wife’s name is Rosa Zammit (Rosa's father possibly was Gio
Maria and mother was Antonia Baldacchino)Can anyone advise how I can possibly
get past this hurdle. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

I have contacted churches and no one can find Biagio. He and Rose had 4 children
all born in Port Salvo between 1843 and 1852.This information was directly from
the church via Birth certificates but no marriage of death.

6 1 1810 Senglea

Vincenza BUSUTTIL virga (virgin)daughter Legitim and natural from Joanny BUSUTTIL and fu (deceased)Paola CARUANA

with

Josephum TRAPANI from Sorrente son of fu (deceased)Blasio TRAPANI an Angelina 'Sposito', ex (from Senglea) (living now in Senglea = resident)

SPOSITO can mean 2 things

1/ married together

or 2/ Exposito which means the the child was abandonned / exposed in one of the Windows where you could put children not wanted

and then SPOSITO would be used as a family name later one
