Dear Josyanne,

Yesterday I went to the Notarial Archives in Valletta to see the testament of Breito Aquilina.

In fact the testament was not of Breito but of Margerita, his wife, and did not find Breito's father's name.

But with the help of Mr Camilleri of the Archives we found a contract in the first volume (1590-1600)of Notary Bernardo Azzopardi.  The contract is dated 3rd April 1600. There is written that Breito's father was Salvi (Salvatore)de Zebbug.

I will try to go again to ?ebbu? and see what I could find

How Lucky you are to live in Malta

and be able to go to the Archives and parishes !!

Have you got the name of the GAMBIN's parents ?

Not yet Josyanne but I will let you know the exact marriage date and Gambin's parents names as soon as I find time to go to Qormi again. I will  get the marriage certificate.  In the meantime, if you think I could be of any help to you, please let me know.
