[Malte] PASSPORTS MARTIN FAMILY
#2
Hi Julie,
Passports in Malta
This database, which covers the period 1870-1940, was compiled by Mark CARUANA (migration expert), from documents available at the National Archives of Malta.

To obtain a copy of the passport applications, please contact: customercare.archives(at)gov.mt

From 1900 on, passports have a photo and are generally composed of several pages and of acts including their filiations for those of Algeria and Tunisia (some acts are made in French if born in North Africa)

The archives send them in general on a cdrom (or by photocopy?) the cost in 2010 was 2 euros by cd + the number of photos on it charged 30 cts the photo.
