« During the first half of this 19th century the

Architect Pietrucci, an officer of Engineers m

the French service accompanied Napoleon to Egypt,

and gained credit by various buildings which he

designed in Corsica. Giuseppe Maurin built ships

of war, and was much esteemed both in Malta and

at Naples, whither be repaired after the decline of the Order. »

(page 4)on trouve qu’en novembre 1820 Giuseppe

Maurin étai à Naples le deuxième ingénieur en

chef constructeur de la Marine du Royaume des Deux Siciles.
