I am looking for any records on Rosa Maria Martinez and her Husband Matteo Cassar both born approx 1793 they had a daughter Maria Cassar born approx 1818 married Michele portelli on 9/2/1834 senglea Malta .

Sorry, but I have nothing about them.
I think it's not MARTINEZ. I found a french family MARTINES in Senglea at this time. First, you must check with the Senglea's Parish for the wedding in 1834.

lots of MARTINES as well in Vittoriosa
as well concerning your CASSAR look at CASSANO ou CASSARO
Ted CASSAR from London, was extremely surprised to find out that his family name was written CASSANO in Vittoriosa and Senglea and it was his family the links were made
So do tell the priest of that mistake when you write to him
